Visit with Horses and Pigs

Johanna, grandmom Heckman, and mommy went to visit cousin Nancy. While on the visit she took and showed us horses and baby pigs! They were so cute. It was fun to introduce Johanna to new animals, she loves animals. She was not sure what to do with the horses or pigs. The pigs wanted to eat her shoes! Even though she did not know wh

at to do she had a good time.

My baby girl can walk!

So Johanna started really walking this weekend! She was walking a little bit before this but really got the hang of it as of late. It is so crazy to realize that she is finally walking. When she is wearing her shoes and walking around she is not my baby anymore, she is growing into a toddler. She really took off on sunday and started taking twelve or more steps at a time to get something she really wanted. It was so cute and continues to amaze me that she is big enough to walk already. I will post some pictures when I get good ones of her in action. It is hard to get those types of pictures because she wants to move not get pictures taken. It is also hard to get video because she does not perform when I want her too. I am a proud mama can you tell?!

First Birthday Party

The first little cake, was Johanna's cake that she ate herself (pictures coming will show how much she enjoyed it). We put happy birthday peanut on it because Shane and I call her our little peanut. The big cake was Johanna's theme, which was blocks with bright colors. Daddy was getting ready for the big day hanging ballons in the picture on the bottom. And the picture to the right was our house with ballons on it showing people where the birthday girl lives.

First Trip to the Park

Wee...Daddy, push me higher.
Yeah I am going down the slide, but need help from mommy and grandma "dee dee"
Daddy and me sliding

Mommy and me on the slide Ahh I love my daddy, asked Johanna to give daddy and hug and this is what she did, so cute.
This weekend we went to the park with Shane's parents. They were down visiting for Johanna's first birthday party. Johanna had such a great time going down the slides and riding the se saw with mommy and daddy. It was so nice to just get outside and have fun in the sun. Hopefully many more trips to the park will be in the future.

Happy First Birthday Johanna!

So Johanna turned one today. I cannot believe that my baby girl is already one years old. The time just flew by this past year. It was today at 9:04 am that Johanna blessed this earth one year ago, and it she has been such a blessing in everyone's life since her birth. Johanna has been a wonderful baby throughout the past year. She has slept well, ate well, and has had a great deamenor and continues to be a very pleasant baby. We continue to marvel at the funny things she does and says on a daily basis. She is such a miracle from God and we are so blessed to be the parents that God chose to raise her. We hope that we can continue to bless Johanna and love her with God's help and show her God's love through our relationship and our relationship with God. We are truly happy and love celebrating the fact that she is with us everyday but especially like celebrating it today because it is her special day. We love you Johanna with all of our heart and we will always be with you and support you no matter what. You will always be our little peanut. We love you and happy first birthday! Many more happy ones to come!

Do not touch my cup!

Johanna fell asleep on the way home from small group and it was just too cute! Had to take pictures of it. We gave her her cup and she took a drink then fell asleep. When she fell asleep

she clenched onto her cup. She loves her cup!

One of her first rides as a big girl in her front car seat!

So Johanna had one of her first rides sitting front ways in her car seat! I cannot believe how big she is getting! She liked being able to see everything, but is still getting used to being front instead of starring at the back seat.

Fun Day in the Sun!

Johanna and mommy played outside today. It was absolutely beautiful outside! She loved playing with the daffodils and sticks. She loved them so much that she could not keep them out of her mouth. She laughed and played outside for a good part of the afternoon. It was so nice to get her outside and experience fresh air. Also, it was precious to see how she how she just played and played with grass, flowers, and sticks. Isn't it amazing what little things amuse babies?

Is she not beautiful?

This picture captures my beautiful girl. Look at her big blue eyes. They are so captivating. She loves the camera and is a ham! Just had to put this picture up since it came out sooo good as a close up. I cannot believe she will be a year old in a week. She has gotten so big and the time has flown by. She is quickly changing from my baby to my little girl. Even though I miss all of the cuddly times with her as a baby, I look forward to all of her fun times with her words and sayings that she is yet to come up with.

Funny Hair!

Johanna was being silly in the bathtub tonight with daddy and had to take some pictures. Daddy fixed her hair like a mohawk. Had to capture the moment. Also, Johanna loves to brush her teeth and drink out of glasses. Mmmmm....drinking soapy water.
